Little bit of change

We changed out breakfast nook table recently. Since we had to move the old one into the Library, we decided to get the  60" <a href="http://www.westelm.com/products/arc-base-pedestal-table-g490/?pkey=cdining-tables&cm_src=dining-tables||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_--_-">Arc Base Pedestal Table from West Elm</a>.<br /><br />We undersetimated what a 60" table would look like and realized we needed a lazy susan since most of the time there would be only four of us at the table and passing around food would be a little bit harder with this table size.<br /><br />We looked around and found the almost perfect one from <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Steve-Silver-inch-Avenue-Susan/dp/B002HIQZRA/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1354456676&sr=8-5&keywords=glass+lazy+susan+turntable">Amazon</a>. Library update

Christmas Decor Organizing

Like I mentioned to <a href="http://mycraftyhomelife.blogspot.com/2013/01/lets-do-it.html">Linda over at My Crafty Home Life</a>, I wanted to start the year off better organized and avoid procrastinating over some of the things that needed to be done in our home.<br /><br />Take our Christmas decor for example. All of us dread the day after New year when we have to drag ourselves to store all the decors we've set up meticulously over the holidays.<i> </i><b><i>I am no exception</i>.</b><br /><br />As much as I love decorating for Xmas (You've seen how <a href="http://buhayatbahay.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-little-christmas-details-make-home.html">clearly over-the-top I could get..</a>), putting them all back into proper storage is one helluva task! Plus, <i><b>I have a tendency to just dump everything in bins and just "dive in" the next year looking for stuff!</b></i><br /><br />It's not just the manual labor itself, it's also the thought of the holidays being over so far! Uuggggh! Clean slate

The little Christmas details make the home..

After my longest hiatus from the blogosphere, I am back!<br /><br />Two things really made me take this long break.<br /><br />1) The Sandy Hook tragedy really hit home to me. No, I don't know anybody there personally, but this horrendous event just struck that tender chord in my heart being a mom myself of a kid the same age as most of the victims. I just felt I had to let my feelings out by being "silent" for awhile.<br /><br />2) The holidays have been extra busy for us this year too with family and friends coming in and out of our home. A very welcoming type of "work" that me and my family are still enjoying.<br /><br />I did not want to end the year on a sad note.
