Celebrity House: Tina Turner

Every major room of the multilevel villa, which was designed by architect Bruno Guistini, opens to a patio or balcony thus making the most of the breathtaking views atop a cliff on the Riviera. She enlisted designers Stephen Sills and James Huniford to help her pull together her music memorabilia, European furnishings and Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities. Turner says: “I wasn’t intimidated by the fact that it was palace furniture. It’s beautiful, it’s comfortable, and it set the tone for the whole house.”<br /><br /><img alt="" class="photo" src="http://www.architecturaldigest.com/celebrity-homes/2000/tina-turner-home-france-slideshow/jcr:content/par/cn_contentwell/par-main/cn_pagination_container/cn_slideshow/item3.rendition.slideshowHorizontal.hosl04_turner.jpg" /><br /><br />The entrance hall leads to the dining room, where a contemporary pedestal table of ebony inlaid with bronze by French designer André Dubreuil is surrounded by Ming-style chairs. Upholstered wicker pieces are mixed with an antique Thai chaise.
