Interior Designer Tracey Butler

Second post today introducing interior designer Tracey Butler, owner of b.home interior design studio. She attended The New York School of Interior Design and was selected to apprentice for coveted interior designer Jeffrey Bilhuber. New House in France

Friday takes us to a new house on Ile de Re, an island off the west coast of France, near La Rochelle. Every room opens onto a central courtyard ensuring plenty of natural light. Rustic and simple. I wouldn't have the soap holder affixed to the wall, you'd get soapy water on the wooden surface which you will have to constantly be wiping off.<br /><br />A happy weekend to all of you. Modern Apartment in Spain

Good morning dears! We are going all modern today with this apartment on the outskirts of Madrid in Spain. Arquitect Marcos Corrales was in charge of the renovation and made sure each room was filled with natural light. A white blind can be pulled down for privacy.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas36/reformadas36_12g.jpg" /><br />Modern lines, a rustic stool and an embroidered rug make up this eclectic bathroom. For extra light a window was placed above the mirrored cabinets.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas37/reformadas37_1g.jpg" /><br />Bright room for the kids. I would slipcover that armchair before letting them into the room. Maybe it is slipcovered... I can't really tell!<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas37/reformadas37_2g.jpg" /><br />The desks were placed right by the windows to have plenty of natural light to do their homework.<br />Sliding panels can be closed and completely separate each room.<br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas37/reformadas37_3g.jpg" /><br /><br /><img name="foto" src="http://www.micasarevista.com/casas/reformadas/reformadas37/reformadas37_4g.jpg" /><br />Notice how they left the side of the bookcase open right by the bed to provide a small side table.<br /><br />Ok, that's it for today. Nice to be back and a house in France.

Hi dears! Finally back from my holidays which were great! And I know they were great because I didn't miss blogging one bit. Ha, couldn't think that could happen! Thanks for all the comments left while I was away. I will get back to you as soon as possible.<br />So, let's kick off with this house in France which belongs to Liana Yaroslavsky a native Russian.<br /><br /><p><a><img alt="A white front hidden by the greenery" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/medias/284/145720_belvedere-au-feminin.jpg" /></a></p><p><span style="" onmouseover="_tipon(this)" onmouseout="_tipoff()">Surrounded by old trees and a garden of poppies and roses, this late ninteenth century French style house has a limestone facade.</span></p><p> <img alt="A cozy lounge and bright" id="diaporama_pict" src="http://www.cotemaison.fr/medias/284/145724_belvedere-au-feminin.jpg" /></p><p>An unusual layout for the living room with the fireplace behind the sofa.
