Floating Christmas Tree in Rio

As some of you might know I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I'd like to share with you these photographs of a stunning Chirstmas tree they put up every year (since 1996) in the middle of a lake called Rodrigo de Freitas or Lagoa as the locals like to call it.<br /><br />It soars 85 meters high and uses 2,9 million light bulbs! It is built over a floating platform that moves around the lake. It will be lit every night until January 6th and on Saturdays there's a firework show.
